By Karl Popper
Our knowledge only increases when somebody is wrong.
— Karl Popper
I’m unable to find a source for this quote, that isn’t a blog post of tweet from me!
The closest I can find is:
In so far as a scientific statement speaks about reality, it must be falsifiable; and in so far as it is not falsifiable, it does not speak about reality.
I did find this semi-related quote, also attributed to Karl Popper:
Our knowledge can only be finite, while our ignorance must necessarily be infinite.
